To begin this woodworking project, measure the width of your band saw table (parallel to the blade). Then, using a circular saw or table saw, rip the plywood to a width about three inches wider than this distance. This will provide you with a 4-foot wide jig that is slightly wider than your band saw table.

Next, measure the distance (perpendicular) from your band saw's blade to the side of the table. Mark this distance from one end of the plywood. Then, cut a length of 1x2 the width of the plywood and attach it at the mark with wood screws.
