The next step is to cut the outer profile of the two end pieces that you marked earlier with the compass. If you have a band saw, you'll want to use it to follow the lines and make these cuts. However, if you don't have a band saw, you can complete this step with a jigsaw, but be certain to move slowly and don't allow the blade to tilt when cutting.
