With the pivot nail driven into the proper location on the jig, the next step is to clamp the plywood jig onto the Rockwell Blade Runner table top. While the bottom of the table is mostly recessed, there are plenty of places to place a couple of clamps to hold the plywood jig in place. The key is that the jig cannot move from the desired position. If the jig moves, the circle will not be cut properly.

Insert a wood-cutting jigsaw blade into the Rockwell Blade Runner. Then, adjust the blade guard so that the guard is just over one-inch above the table.

Next, place the 1/4-inch plywood jig with the nail facing upwards flat on the table. The spot from which you measured to determine the point for the pivot nail should rest just barely touching the jigsaw blade. Tightly clamp the jig to the table with a couple of quick-action woodworking clamps. There should be at least one on the front and one on the back side of the saw table.
