Once satisfied that the table is stable when on the casters, its time to install the rope pulls for raising the caster braces and allowing the table to settle down onto it's legs for woodworking.
Insert one eye-hook about an inch up from the bottom of each caster brace.
Then, tie one end of a rope to the each of the two eye hooks on one end of the table. You should be able to pull on the rope, which pulls the caster braces and drop the table down onto it's legs. To raise the table back onto the casters, simply lift the table, and the braces spring into place, locking the casters into the down position.
Repeat with the rope on the opposite end and test.
Tip: When the rope is not in use, it will dangle on the floor and may get in the way. I like to place an additional eye-hook on the table base (just under the table top) and run the rope through that eye before attaching to the two ends. In this manner, the rope is always out of the way, and in easy reach for the operator.
