This amazing double door set is just one of many at the Ecuadorian Presidential Palace in Quito. This door is one entrance from a balcony that overlooks the open square just across from the palace. Interestingly, just a few feet from this door was the location of the assassination of Ecuadorian President Gabriel García Moreno in 1875.
