Saw-Jaw in Use on Radial-Arm Saw

Saw-Jaw in Use on Radial-Arm Saw

The Bottom Line

Quality table saw blades are quite expensive. Storing these costly blades when not in use can dull or damage the blades. The innovative Saw-Jaw was designed to hold and protect your 10" table saw and radial-arm saw blades during installation, removal and storage. The Saw-Jaw is constructed from sturdy, flexible materials and can adjust to hold any 10" saw blade. The unit has a area on the back side for labeling, so you can easily distinguish each blade (when you have each one in its own Saw-Jaw).

While we'd love to see other sizes of Saw-Jaws, we love the simplicity and innovation in this woodworking accessory.

Pros

  • Ingenuitive idea, a great way to protect your expensive table saw blades
  • Quick to attach to or remove from blade
  • Perfect for blade storage - has area on back side of handle for labeling

Cons

  • Only available in 10" size - Would like to see 12" and maybe even 7-1/4" models

Description

  • Helps protect saw blades from twists, bending or blade deformation during installation and removal from saw.
  • Can be used with or without stabilizing washers.
  • Fits most 10" contractor and cabinet table saws, as well as many radial-arm saws. Will not fit many table-top table saws.
  • Helps protect saw blades when storing.
  • Can adjust to accommodate saw blades that have been sharpened.

Guide Review - Woodworking Tool Review of the Saw-Jaw

The Saw-Jaw is one of those innovations that comes along every once in a while that makes you say, "I wonder why nobody else thought of that?"

This simple, yet innovative woodworking accessory easily wraps around your saw blade, protecting not only the blade during installation, removal and storage, but protecting your hands as well. The unit easily connects (with one hand) to your saw blade when it is on the saw's arbor, and holds the blade securely while you tighten or loosen the arbor nut. It is an innovation that makes changing your blades much easier.

The Saw-Jaw is available at a number of online retailers. Visit www.saw-jaw.com for a list of online stores carrying the Saw-Jaw. The price is very reasonable, so you may wish to pick up one for each of your 10" blades.
