The Bottom Line

Woodchuckles is a book of cartoons, written by Steven Spiro and drawn by Dave Sanders, for woodworkers and those who love us. While there are a few cartoons that a non-woodworker might not get, many are of a generic-enough nature that everyone can enjoy. Like any book of cartoons, some of them seem a bit corny, while a number of others actually made me laugh out loud.

Pros

  • Contains 100 woodworking-themed cartoons
  • Well drawn, single-panel cartoons

Cons

  • Those with a limited woodworking knowledge may not get some of the wittiest cartoons in the book

Description

  • The cartoons follow a style that might be considered "Norm Abram meets Gary Larsen".
  • Great gift or coffee table book for any woodworker
  • Available direct from the authors at http://www.woodchuckles.com
