Most woodworkers who employ biscuits for adjoining wood utilize one or more of the three most common biscuit sizes (#0, #10 and #20 biscuits), but they may not be aware that there are much smaller sizes of biscuits than the #0 on the market.
Some manufacturers offer smaller biscuits, available in 5/8", 3/4" and 1" sizes, which are ideally-suited for hobbyists and small woodworking projects such as delicate picture frames. Keep in mind, though, that your regular biscuit cutter will cut slots too large for these smaller biscuits.
If you'd like to learn more about how you can use biscuit joinery on your projects, read Basic Biscuit Joinery.
