Sell Your Woodworking Projects Online

If you're a custom furniture builder, and have a few woodworking projects you think you'd like to sell, here is a website you may find useful. CustomMade.com is a site by woodworkers, for woodworkers. It is designed as a place for wood workers and turners to be able to display picture galleries of their woodworking projects for sale.

CustomMade.com has now expanded, allowing glass and metal workers to display their handiworks as well.

If you're new to offering your craftsmanship on the web, perhaps you're not sure at what price point you should offer your piece(s). On CustomMade.com, you can check page after page of current projects, along with the range of costs estimated to produce them, which should give you a good idea of the range in which you can price your handiwork.

(1) Russ Whitney says:

If you are selling your projects then Etsy.com or Custommade.com work well. However, if you have an interest in selling the plans for the project then consider using Sawtooth Ideas.

I have been using custom made for about a year now and it has certainly help me sell some pieces. Sadly over the last year they have expanded so fast that their are so many woodworkers on the site it has diluted the success for all the craftspeople involved.

There are a multitude of easy woodworking ideas that
can be found through search engines over the
internet or in books on woodworking. This is
more costly than an air compressor, but because it
is so much more efficient, it may be worth the investment if you don’t already own an air compressor.
These projects are great alternatives to traditional woodworking, using basic woodworking machines & woodworking tools.
