A while back, a reader asked me about a problem they encountered.
They had purchased a table saw with a relatively short arbor. The problem is that whenever they want to install a full 3/4" stacked dado blade set onto the saw, the arbor isn't long enough to allow the arbor washer and nut to be fully seated onto the washer. Not seating the nut fully would be a huge safety hazard.
This is a very common problem with small or medium-sized table saws and some radial arm saws. Learn why it is a problem and how to safely deal with it in Stacked Dado Blades and Small Table Saws
You'll learn why this problem exists and how to work around the problem safely and quickly.
