Build a Classic Woodworking Toolbox
Friday July 3, 2009
For literally hundreds of years, carpenters have been carrying their tools to and from their job sites in wooden toolboxes of various shapes and sizes. In some small enclaves where craftsmen still rely on hand tools, these are still used regularly. Even though modern technology has brought us commercially mass-produced plastic and metal cases to protect our tools, there is still a certain charm to the classic wooden toolbox.
In this set of free woodworking plans, walk step-by-step through this version of the classic woodworking toolbox. There are no mechanical fasteners used for this woodworking project, as the unit is held together by classic woodworking joinery. It is a fun project to build, and takes very little time to make. You'll be proud to carry your tools in this woodworking classic.

IF this is a classic woodworking toolbox why
are you useing power tools. why not come up
with instructions on building it with hand tools only.
A very poignant point, John. When I get the time to do a series of articles on hand-dovetails, I may create an alternate version of the toolbox plans made exclusively with hand tools.
