Build a Table Saw Box Joint Jig

Tuesday December 2, 2008
I've blogged many times in this space about how to create dovetail joinery when building drawers and other projects. Basic through dovetails are a classic look that is also very strong. There are times, though, when a dovetail joint is not an appropriate choice. For instance, dovetails aren't particularly attractive when using plywood.

A good option in such cases would be to use a box joint. There are a number of methods for creating box joints, such as using a straight-cutting bit on a router in conjunction with a dovetail jig.

However, if you have a table saw, there is a much easier way to make perfect box joints. In this set of free woodworking plans, learn how to Build a Table Saw Box Joint Jig that will quickly produce perfect box joints in minutes. The jig is easy to build and works great!
