Update on the Saw-Jaw
Wednesday June 4, 2008
You may recall that late last year, I reviewed a product called the Saw-Jaw, a woodworking accessory used to safely store and handle circular saw blades on table saws, radial-arm saws, etc. Quite a nifty little device, developed by a small company named G&G Industries in Parkersburg, Iowa.
Yes, that very same Parkersburg, Iowa that was leveled by a tornado a week ago.
I dropped a note a few days ago to Keith at G&G, touching base in the hope that all was well. It took a couple of anxious days for him to get back to me, but fortunately, other than some power inconveniences and relatively minor but repairable damage to their shop, they'll be fine. They were lucky, as the tornado passed within a quarter mile of their shop, but a lot of the town was leveled.
If you've placed an order for a Saw-Jaw, bear in mind that they expect to begin shipping orders again today. If you missed the review late last year, check out our Review of the Saw-Jaw. Should you choose to try one of these reasonably priced woodworking accessories, we have a link at the bottom of the review where you can learn more.
