One Month Until 'The Big Show'
Saturday January 12, 2008
If you still haven't made your reservations for the 2008 International Builders' Show in Orlando, Florida, you're running out of time. This year's show will be February 13-16 at the Orange County Convention Center.
I'm not certain how big this year's show is going to be, but last year it featured over one million square feet of some of the biggest, most impressive exhibits I've ever seen at a trade show. Words really can't describe the overwhelming size of this convention. It is literally a feast for woodworkers, home builders and homeowners. A number of woodworking tool manufacturers have demonstration stations set up where you can try out nearly all of their woodworking tools and get answers to your questions directly from the manufacturer.
If you're considering making a trip to Orlando, the deadline for online registration has been extended until Friday, January 25th (according to the IBS web site). However, many of the local hotels are already booked, so you should probably hurry.
I'll be making the rounds, checking out the tools and accessories for upcoming articles on About.com. Hope to see you there.
