The Craft Emergency Relief Fund

Monday October 29, 2007
We have all witnessed the devastation in Southern California over the past couple of weeks from the Santa Ana-fueled wildfires. Such a natural disaster can reek havoc on a family, far beyond the loss of their home and possessions. For woodworkers and other artisans who make their living with their craft, it can be devastating to their business. Home insurance may cover the loss of property, but what about damage to the artisan's livelihood?

The Craft Emergency Relief Fund is an organization that supports the careers of craft artists throughout the United States, through not only business and career-strengthening programs, but also with emergency relief support when artisans need help recovering from such disasters as the California wildfires. If you were affected, you may be able to ask CERF for assistance. You may also choose to help support CERF's mission with a contribution. For more information, visit CERF's Programs & Services page.
