Woodworking for Charity
Thursday October 4, 2007
LumberJocks, with support from Lee Valley Tools, has set up a program to help raise money for children affected by natural disasters and the ravages of war, via the Save the Children foundation. They're calling for woodworkers from around the world to help Save the Children.
Here's the basic idea: build a woodworking project of any size and style, and post the details of the project on LumberJocks.com. Then, auction or sell the project and donate the proceeds to Save the Children (the address for the donation is on the site). All participants will receive a special gift from Lee Valley Tools as a thank you. Deadline for donations is January 1, 2008.
Visit the LumberJocks site for more information.
